With new tools and AI technologies driving change, there’s been increased discussions around what it means for architecture, and the need to strike a balance between creativity, efficiency, and ethics.

Principal, Javier Perea, recently spoke about “AI Ethics: Balancing Innovation and Human Values in Media, Design, and Creative Industries” as part of the Re:VISS (Revolutionising Visual Storytelling) conference, co-organized by NEXX and the Hong Kong Society of Artificial Intelligence Innovation (HKSAII).

Javier explored innovative ways of crafting narratives in the digital age, alongside Hee sun CHOI, Assistant Professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design (PolyU Design); and Nicolas Jeanbourquin, Artist and Musician; moderated by Michael Wong, Associate Dean and Global Executive Programmes Director at the City University of Hong Kong's College of Business.

“In today’s architecture, there is an ongoing need to establish widely accepted ethical frameworks for integrating artificial intelligence,” Javier observed. “At 10 Design, we are navigating the complexities of AI integration through interdisciplinary collaboration and open dialogue among our design studios. By prioritizing ethical principles and human-centered design, we are collectively shaping a thoughtful and sustainable approach to innovation.“
