Adding to its growing list of accolades, Huafa Snow World took home the Silver Award for 'Best Mega Development' at last night’s MIPIM Asia Awards.

A big thanks to our team — Ross Milne, Miriam Auyeung, Doris Chen, Barry Shapiro, Chin Yong Ng, Lukasz Wawrzenczyk, Javier Perea, and Wen Ren — for proudly accepting this award at the ceremony.

Part of a larger master plan, the Huafa Snow Centre combines advanced ski facilities with snow themed retail, office space and a JW Marriott hotel. The scale of the 83-meter-high, 441-meter-long slope has been broken down into a series of floating boxes, interlinked to invite a sense of exploration. Designed to attract the next generation of consumers, the Snow World taps into the ever-present need for connection and socializing, creating a community-fuelled destination.

Powered by renewable energy, the design incorporates approximately 16,500 photovoltaic panels on the 42,000 square meter roof, covering 90% of the project’s needs, with the remaining 10% being sold back to the grid in Shenzhen.

Huge congratulations to our client, collaborators, and design team for this achievement!
